Look's new Keo Blade 2 TI Pedals build upon the same wide body and reliable cleat retention system as the original Keo Blade Carbon, but with the integration of a titanium spindle they drop about 40 grams per pair. The Blade 2 TI improved "blade" design features a piece of carbon that has been fully integrated at the center of the pedal. The blade runs the full length of the pedal and flexes against the retention plate to keep your cleat securely in place. In addition to enhancing retention, the blade improves the pedal's aerodynamic profile. The Keo Blade 2 TI's new carbon central blade also gives the pedal a wider body than the original Keo (by 17%), giving you a more stable platform underfoot. By widening the top side of the pedals, Look also improved the cornering clearance on the new Keo. The new oversized Titanium spindle of the Blade 2 reduces stack height (it's down to 13mm) and brings your cleat closer to the pedal. This results in a more efficient power transfer from your feet to the drivetrain, and with the permanent cleat-stop contact ensures a reliable connection no matter what angle your foot is pedaling. Finally, all of Look's spindles are approved only after extensive rotational tests, so you know the Keo is dependable.
