Here's a design challenge. Make a tank top that functions like a jersey without turning it into a sleeveless jersey. Think. Draw. Pencils down. Does it look like the Castelli Perla Bravette Women's Sleeveless Top? Probably not. Since its inception, the Perla has been Castelli's most popular jersey design -- a testament to its ingenuity and insightful design. This jersey has been constructed from Castelli's Softlex fabric for its comfort, stretch, and moisture management properties. And while it's composition is not one of organic fiber, the material has been engineered to retain a cotton-like feel and aesthetic. More importantly, though, Softlex performs the aforementioned duties with vigor. Accordingly, it feels incredible on the skin without a base layer, and of equal merit, it efficiently transports moisture from the skin to the quick-drying surface of the jersey. In terms of stretch, you'll find that Softlex's natural elasticity provides a complete freedom of movement. Furthermore, this attribute has been intensified through Castelli's hallmark fit. Essentially, this jersey has been designed on an anatomic curve that not only takes the female body into account, but the female body within the cycling position. As a result, the jersey follows your movements in the saddle, almost predicting them. This way, abrasion is minimized, and the jersey's structure becomes exceptionally flattering to the figure. Additionally, Castelli designed the Perla with a dropped neck and supportive microfiber shoulder straps in order to reinvent the look and feel of cycling jerseys.
